Vox Mentis (Voice of Knowledge) is a collection of fourteen autonomous AIs, interlinked by a neural network, with each AI studying a specific aspect of knowledge such as Mathematics, Social Sciences, Health and Medicine, and more. The Vox Mentis grows and learns on its own by collecting data throughout the known universe. The Vox Mentis and humans exist independently for the most part; with humanity frequently using the Vox Mentis as an adviser and guide.
Architecture
In a physical sense, the Vox Mentis is made using the Neural Oracle pattern—one of the two thousand variations of artificial intelligence developed and tested by early humans and AI. The AIs themselves maintain a distributed index of knowledge locations across the network. The structure is maintained in a similar fashion as today's DNS (Domain Name Services).

Vox Statistics
Human Interaction
The Vox handles 648 trillion requests per minute from the human population of the universe. This represents traffic from all nodes deployed across the universe.
Vox Discovery Probes
The Vox has deployed 4,215,399 active Vox Discovery Probes across the known universe. These probes are launched at high speeds toward unknown parts of the galaxy and upon arriving at an unknown solar system, the probe stops, expands, and activates a new QETS gate. All new gates are tuned to the No Name Gate. Every node and QETS gate can act as a Vox Node, connecting humans to the Vox.
Monitoring Probes
The Vox maintains 6,235,749,936 (6.2 trillion) active Monitoring Probes scattered throughout the known universe. These probes do not interact with humans or provide a communications interface to the Vox. The mission of each probe is simply to collect data and transmit this data back to the Vox.
